FOTÓGRAFO VIAJA POR EL PAÍS PARA CAPTURAR MOMENTOS

We are somewhere near 20 years into the artform; a lot has changed but my focus remains on capturing real moments with a smattering of beautiful portraits for each client.

I began by reading my father's photography books when I was supposed to be studying spelling words, eventually dating my way into a darkroom in high school and using my first SLR while in USAF.  When I went to college I quickly became bored with computer studies and took Photo 101 on a whim. I was in love and switched my major to study photography.

Over the years I've documented more than 400 weddings, countless families at this point and everywhere from Washington to Florida to right here now in NC.
I've lived outside the country and embraced the uniqueness of every background and history within a family. In terms of weddings, I've documented Chinese tea ceremonies, weddings on farms that gave out pork rinds as guest favors, and several multi-day Indian traditional weddings. I am enamored of the joy within the events; sprinkle them with some art in a museum or flowers in a garden and I may as well be in heaven.

I'm a single empty nester at this point, living in Asheville mountains since 2020.  If my hair color is any indication, I am continually reinventing what it means to be myself and to make new memories involving new experiences. Beauty in nature and the way people interact is key to both my life and my work. I like to write, paint, carve and refinish furniture, drive aimlessly, and eat cake. The cake shows on the outside, I think the rest is all actually inside me, working its way out into what I do for others.
